Central Anatolia, Turkey as teacher for primary school students. I lived alone in the
country side and the neighborhood could be considered as underdeveloped. I started
making sculptures from tree roots that I found in the roadsides and woodlands in my
free time. I started turning these tree root sculptures into jewelry. I made pendants,
earring and many more. When my job in that neighborhood was done, I opened my
own workplace. I named it ‘Kökler’ which means ‘tree roots’ in my native language.
Every jewelry that I made is valuable since I make only one of each one.
